HOLD HARMLESS, LIABILITY WAIVER, AND MEDIA RELEASE

American Welding Laboratories – High School Welding Competition

I, the undersigned participant, understand that welding and related activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to burns, cuts, eye injuries, equipment-related injuries, and other hazards associated with welding equipment and shop environments.

In consideration for being allowed to participate in the welding competition hosted by American Welding Laboratories (AWL), I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

I hereby agree to release, waive, and hold harmless American Welding Laboratories, its owners, employees, instructors, volunteers, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, or causes of action that may arise from my participation in this event, including any injury, loss, or damage to person or property.

I agree to follow all safety instructions, wear required protective equipment, and comply with all shop safety rules during the event.

Media Release

I grant permission to American Welding Laboratories (AWL) to photograph or record video of me during the event and to use these images or recordings for educational, promotional, or marketing purposes, including use on websites, social media, printed materials, or other media without compensation.

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this agreement and voluntarily agree to its terms.

For Participants Under 18 Years of Age

I am the parent or legal guardian of the above-named participant. I give permission for my child to participate in the welding competition and agree to the terms of this Hold Harmless, Liability Waiver, and Media Release on their behalf.
